What we know about you, and who sees it.

iksaath helps neighbours in a housing society book home services together. To do that we need to know which flat you are and how the host of a drive can reach you. This page says exactly what we keep and who can see it.

What we collect

From residents: your name, flat number, mobile number, and the society and area you belong to.
If you continue with Google: your name, your email address and an account ID from Google. This is what keeps your flat yours on every device. We never see your Google password, we don't show your email to anyone, and we don't use it for marketing.
What you do: the drives you host and the drives you join.
From vendors: your business name, mobile number and the service you offer.
On your device: your browser stores a sign-in key, your name and your flat so you can join the next drive in one tap. Signing out removes the key. We use no advertising or analytics trackers. Google's sign-in button sets its own cookies when you use it, under Google's privacy policy.
By our hosting provider: standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, kept by Vercel for security and reliability.

Who sees what

Anyone visiting a society page sees the society's name and area, its drives, how many flats have joined each one, and the flat number of the host.
Residents registered in that society also see the flat numbers that have joined each drive.
The host of a drive also sees the name and mobile number of everyone who joined it, so they can coordinate the visit. The host may pass that list to the vendor doing the work.
Nobody else. We do not sell your details, show ads, or share your number with other residents.

iksaath does not currently verify that a person lives in the flat they enter. Please enter only your own flat and your own number.

MyGate verification

Where it is offered, you can choose to confirm your flat through MyGate. If you do, we send MyGate a scrambled (hashed) form of your mobile number, MyGate sends you a one-time code, and MyGate tells us your society, building and flat. We store those and mark your flat as verified. This step is optional.

Where your data is kept

The site is hosted by Vercel and the database by Neon, on servers in Singapore. That means your details are stored outside India. Both act only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as your society page is in use, because past drives stay on it. Ask us and we will delete your record, and remove you from any drive that has not yet happened.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected] from any address and tell us your society, flat and mobile number so we can find your record. We will reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

iksaath is for adults. Please do not use it if you are under 18.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and the date at the top.
